I purchased my 2018 40 kW Tekna Leaf brand new for cash and traded in my old petrol car in May 2018. I don't do a lot of travelling, mainly just local trips up to 30 miles, taking the dog for walks and shopping trips. I've only done about 18,000 miles so far, and I can say it's the best car I've ever owned. I charge at night for 8p per kWh and usually only have to charge it once a week. The house has solar panels, so it really costs me nothing! I had a front tyre blowout last week, and had to buy a new tyre, which cost me £200 including call out, etc., which was dirt cheap. It still has the original 12v battery, and seems to be still working fine, and other than some windscreen wipers, and the annual MOT, plus a yearly service, I have spent nothing else on it since buying. However, like everone else, it has depreciated massivly in price, but at my age (80) I won't be buying another car again, so it's been a wonderful car.
